TEMPER documentation

TEMPER is a physical modeling instrument: 115 factory programs, each with a picture of its own instrument, a material pad and four named macros; a Stage that seats sections of players in a hall; a full-screen Modulation page; and an effects rack. TEMPER FX puts the same instruments on an audio track. These pages describe TEMPER 0.1.35.

Quick orientation

  • The page is drawn for the instrument. How it is played on the left, a picture of the instrument in the middle, what it is made of and the material pad on the right. A control the sound does not use is hidden.
  • Drag the picture. Move the pluck, strike or bow point on the instrument; the values read in words.
  • Blend on the material pad. Every program has two named axes and four named corners; the mod wheel moves the vertical axis.
  • Instrument and Stage. A bowed or plucked program can play as a section, seated with the other sections in your project.
  • The footer opens the rest. Modulation and Effects open full screen; PANIC silences every voice and tail at once. The preset box opens the Library.
